It was an easy decision to make the four hour drive east. At the time, Wiley called me and asked if I wanted to head to Cooke City to film for a little while.

Having a professional filmmaker career in Chile wasn't easy, but the potential in Patagonia was the inspiration to keep it going. I became a professional designer and started dedicating my life to the outdoor life, taking advantage of the landscapes and diversity of my country with my camera and, of course, my multiple drones and FPV drones. When my friend passed away climbing in Perú, I knew that I had to turn my hobby to something more serious. Taking photos and climbing on the most epic spots ever in Chile was all I needed to feel alive. Then, on the school, an old friend introduced me to climbing and I got addicted immediately and never stopped to this day. It was there when I started taking photos and making videos of these adventures. My dad used to take me on many adventures in sea kayaks through the Patagonia fjords. Since childhood I always felt attracted to nature and outdoor sports. The environmental campaign of Patagonia Brand on Chile "Salvemos el Maipo" is trying to protect the valley, the rivers, the local people and the multiple outdoors sports that are possible on this giant touristic valley of Santiago.

The photo was used by for a critical project about "Alto Maipo" that is killing and drying up this valley with a monumental hydroelectric central which has a 70 kilometer long tunnel connected with the capital city of Santiago, passing under glaciers and destroying everything in its path. This vertical landscape in the valley of Cajón del Maipo is possible because it was an ocean a million years ago you can still can some fossils if you pay attention. These formations also have a lot of multi-pitch for climbing. In the image we can see in the background the iconic oceanic plates: the green, yellow and red oceanic plate. We made this sunset shot on Cajón del Maipo in Chile with my friend Hernán Rodríguez, the route its called “La Placa de Andrés” 7b and the place of sport climbing is called "La Mina", a paradise with a giant potential for new routes and epic rock quality.
